Tower Blocks UK in Hibernation

To our followers,

Since March 2020, the pandemic has re-shaped all of our lives.

At Tower Blocks UK, we've celebrated successes, such as the launch of FixMyBlock: an online guide to housing rights for tower block tenants which continues to receive hundreds of visitors each day.

We've also seen one of our founding members Sam Webb, receive an MBE in the Queen's New Years Honours list.

We've continued to campaign vigorously for improved tower block safety standards and have shared our support and solidarity with those who continue to fight for justice.

Inevitably though, the impacts of the pandemic has reached us too. With limited staff and resources, and with caring responsibilities for young and elderly family members, we feel it's time to take a short pause. Therefore Tower Blocks UK and our FixMyBlock project will be in 'hibernation' until May 2021 although both websites will continue to operate, offering self help resources and information.

We hope that by the spring, things will be vastly improved, enabling us to recommence our usual activities.

In the meantime, we want to thank all of you for your ongoing support and we look forward to our active presence and reigniting 'the conversation' with tenants and our partners in the spring.
