This June marks the eighth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, an avoidable tragedy that resulted in the loss of 72 lives. At Tower Blocks UK, we honour the memories of those who died and reaffirm our commitment to advocating for justice and safety in high rise buildings.

In the days following the anniversary, we visited Grenfell Tower to pay our respects. It was deeply moving to see the numerous tributes left by community members who came together on the 14th June to remember lives tragically cut short.

On this somber anniversary, it's evident that the pursuit of justice remains ongoing. Eight years have passed, yet the survivors and bereaved still await accountability for the criminal failures that led to this disaster. The public inquiry has been a step toward uncovering the truth; however, the protracted process continues to cause frustration.

At Tower Blocks UK, we stand in solidarity with the community. Justice and accountability are long overdue. At Tower Blocks UK we remain committed to our mission to advocate for change to improve safety in high rise housing for all. Together we can ensure tragedies like Grenfell never happen again by pushing for a safer living environments for everyone in tower block communities. We continue to stand united and demand the change we desperately need.
